![]() well in Long War 2 you can create squads, these are pre-made teams of people you can send to missions. I didnt notice any larger difference from the base game, its just that Long War overextends the duration of combat so you see alot of things that AI would do if you didnt nuke them in a single turn or two.Ībout squads. This "thing" gets more to happen the harder your difficulty is. OK, so it sounds like you feel that WotC dumbs down the Alien AI too much? And what is this about multiple squads? I can only field one group of 4, 5 or 6 on any given mission in the vanilla game.Īlien AI isnt altered that much, the only thing thats new is the AI for the new units, although:Ģ) Game throws tons of enemy units at youģ) Game for some reason can take a dump on you and give bonus action points to pods that patrol in to you. Originally posted by frdnwsm:>Okey, whatever, they will just move to cover and sits while waiting for you to kill them.Īnd there is still no such thing as multiple squads in WotC.< I'd rather do the EU/EW LW's argame than having to deal with rebel havens as the latter is so uninteresting and just annoys you mid-late game. And it leaves the worst part of LW2 out, the Rebel system. WotC adds most of these things and the EU/EW tiredness system as well. ![]() (which are either pure stealth or data taps/retalliations, which are either boring or just not worth doing with how imbalanced they are.) while requiring 150 misisons to complete on average. The only differences LW in XCOM 2 gives you are a few more ADVENT/aliens/weapons (Which you can add in with other mods to the base WotC game), A few more classes (Can add to WotC with mods), Officer system, Rebel Havens, and infiltration with a few extra mission types. Unlike say, XCOM EU/EW LW, LW2 doesn't give all that much to XCOM 2. Long War is also not compatable with some mods, which can cause some real issues.īut the biggest thing is that WotC feels better than vanilla XCOM 2, which is basically what LW is. Plus the Lost add a nice element to everything, add in more 'extra faction' mods like raiders and the like, and you can ahve some really fun chaotic firefights. Plus you can make the game very very fun with all the mods for WotC that are out there. Mostly because of all the MASSIVE MASSIVE improvements to XCOM 2 under the hood that makes it far less buggy and much faster. WotC is better than LW believe it or not.
